Overview
In order for any star tracker to work the way it's designed, polar alignment has to be done in the first place. It is the act of aligning the rotation axis of a star tracker in parallel with Earth's self-spin axis. How do you know when your Move Shoot Move Star Tracker's rotation axis is aligned? Well, the Polar Scope we have here does just that!

This polar scope Kit is for the NOMAD tracker, it includes:

- Fluorescent illuminator (looking like a white tube)
Note: This polar scope is the newest polar scope which can work in both hemispheres, the inner reticle is for the users in the Northern hemisphere and the outer icon is Octans which is for the users in the Southern hemisphere. Please use your headlamp or phone light to shine the light first, the paper inside will absorb the light and then glow in the dark. If you want to test it before going out, please test it in a dark room.

If you are an MSM user wanting to upgrade your tracker to NOMA and you are wondering, will my polar scope work on NOMAD? Yes, your polar scope can work on NOMAD by this polar scope mount.
Universal Mount Combo (For MSM tracker only)
This universal mount combo is only for MSM tracker, it could not work with NOMAD as the tools attaching ways are changed. If you want to attach the polar scope to NOMAD, please get the polar scope mount. If you want to attach laser to NOMAD, please get laser adapter to NOMAD.

Polar Scope and Accessories
I picked up the polar scope as an add on to my Nomad tracker. VERY handy to get final precise alignment in combination with a phone app that tells me where to place polaris on the circle. My scope does not have the same "clock" numbers as the training video, so I'm hoping I'm orienting it correctly... we'll see on longer lens shots of galaxies.. But it is worth having to align perfectly.
I took this out for the first time in Yellowstone and it was so easy to set up and use. The only issue I had was with the new scope and laser holder. Since it attaches much closer to the tracker, I had to adjust my camera and Z plate so they did not obstruct the path of the laser. All in all, a great tracker!
Great product, very effective when it comes to being able to work just by illuminating the scope a little without the need for batteries. More comfortable than the previous u LED light that was annoying to install and broke easily, great product improvement, very happy
I am very satisfied with nomad star tracker, laser and star finder work is very Goodyear.
The product arrived well packaged and with no damages. I did first trials with wide-field lenses (14 mm, 20 mm and 24 mm). The photos have been sharp with no trailing up to 120 s. I will take the Nomad tracker to La Palma in the next step. According to Richard Tatti´s YT video I did some recommended changes.
The polar alignment has been simplified to a very easy process with the lader find and polar scope, tracking down to between one and two arc secs
I ordered the polar scope and very happy with it. Works well and is very easy to use. My tracking is on point now.
