Easy to deal with, good products, respond to field evaluations, and an actual person actually replies to questions with specific answers
I really like the tracker, however I find that in a breeze the tracker will get off course and I get star trails. It seems that the wind can not be over 2 or 3 miles an hour. On a calm night there is no problem.
I have the relatively heavy Nikon D850, and the MSM ballhead supports it with no problems. I have also had success with MSM iPhone bracket for S hemisphere alignment. The trick is to "set current position" in Photopils with the phone attached to your rig in the exact shooting position before using “Spot Stars”. I found this much better than trying to use the sun or moon to calibrate. Neither are available on a good Asrtro night anyway.
Great product and good value!
Ok, bien reçu
Had to wait a long time to be able to use the MSM, clear skies you know :) . But in the time I had to wait for the sky to clear I had time to practice and get to know the MSM. and you do need the practice. but when I first got in the feild with it, it worked like a charm. very easy to use, very easy to polar align with the laser. it's a bit off, but realign every 20 minutes or so and you'll be fine. downside of the laser is that it stops working when it's getting really cold. but other than that best purchase in years.
Ball head to connect camera
I'm not a professional photographer, more a hiking person, but I always loved to have a small and portable star-tracker to improve my night sky images! It exactly filled my expectations, light to carry around and easy to setup!
I got the ball head and bolts well.
Great compact ball head. Clear markings and well sized adjusting knobs.
