Though I am still waiting for some clear skies, to really test this out... I have tested it and all I can say is, I totally recommend this to anyone, with a polarscope, where they need to get on their knees, crouch at a weird angle, trying see what is sometimes a badly illuminated reticle... This takes all that back/neck pain away, and you can now comfortably see through the polarscope, no matter how tall you might be...Excellent, and fits my Star Adventurer polarscope perfectly.
Best used with the laser and attachment to the SWSA, then it is very easy to tell which star is Polaris, and saves frustrating back discomfort. It does take a little getting used to AND finding the proper focus. But, once dialed in, polar alignment is very easy and efficient. Highly recommend using the two pieces together. Also, the right angle device comes with a lot of adapters to use with your DSLR viewfinder / Mirrorless EVF.
The quality is good and the marked reticle makes this a good accessory. My back will appreciate it too.
This is is a great.
I've had my MSM tracker for a couple if years now and couldn't be happier. I recently ordered this additional part from MSM to improve my tracking ability and it's super handy! So glad I made this purchase! Also, the customer service I experienced during the ordering/shipping process was exceptional. 10/10 highly recommend.
Works perfectly on my Mini StarAdventurer. It is a great convenience that makes things easier for me.
This Right-Angle Finder along with the powerful Green Laser attachment make using the Sky-Watcher Adventurer GTI mount more pleasurable when polar aligning. I'm getting too old to be a contortionist!
Great little tool for the polar scope, makes Polaris alignment so much easier.
My first opportunity to use the right angle polar scope viewfinder was polar aligning an iOptron SkyGuider Pro in preparation for recording the Perseid meteor shower with 14mm lens on full frame DSLR tracking the radiant. Accurate polar alignment was a not a necessity in this case, but so easy and pleasant to perform, why not?
