This ballhead is packed with features, made of metal, is sturdy and easy to use. Extremely flexible, and with plenty of room for my camera not to collide with my tripod. Wish I bought this sooner.
I've been researching star trackers for some time and finally chose the Nomad. I've only had it out a few times, but I enjoy the ease of use and setup. I've quickly learned how to do a basic polar alignment using the laser which seems to work well for wide angle photography. I'm keen to see how good a photo I can get using just a laser alignment with a telephoto lens
I.m using it with my dwarf3 and tall tripod. Very easy to use when I’m adjusting and look for polar alignment.
I purchased the MSM Nomad a few months ago to continue my astro photography journey. I've taken it out into the field six or seven times so far to shoot the Milky Way. So far so good. It is lightweight and relatively easy to use. Configuring the right mount setup for what you plan on doing is about the only thing that takes time. Polar alignment can be a bit tricky for those that are newer to star tracking, but the learning curve is short. It's a very well design product that makes it easy for someone to start their astronomical photography journey.
The Tridaptor is an exceptionally well-designed device that combines simplicity, adaptability, and excellent build quality. Its three-axis adjustment system makes positioning and alignment straightforward, and the overall construction feels solid and precise.
I'm probably not their typical customer. Rather than using it for astronomy or wildlife photography, I'm a long-range shooter. I use the Tridaptor to position my camera with my spotting scope, allowing me to monitor and record my shots at extended distances. The flexibility and ease of adjustment make it particularly useful for this application.
What impresses me most is how well the device adapts to a purpose it probably wasn't originally designed for. It does exactly what I need without unnecessary complexity.
Overall, this is a great piece of equipment, thoughtfully engineered and built to last. It's become a perfect complement to my long-range shooting kit. Highly recommended.
Good poduct, fit and work very well
After doing lots of research I decided to pick up this star tracker from the website a few weeks ago. So far, been out shooting with the tracker for 3 sessions, first and second time doing some milky way photos, the third time was able to use it during the Orionids Meteor shower. The results have impressed me, I personally own the Tamron 35mm and the Sony FE 70-200 GM ii, was able to comfortably track up to 2min if I had accurate allignment, and have been doing some 90 sec tracks on 70mm with my 70-200 and my Sony A7 iii, been handling well. I will be going on a 5 week road trip across the entire NZ later this year in December an throughout January, I'm going to try and push this tracker to its limit with my 70-200. taking some deep sky nebula shots for Focal blend composites.
Because of my eyeglass perscription, I could not easily see through the polar scope to align the tracker, and I can’t use laser pointers, which essentially made my tracker worthless to me. This phone holder made all the difference - I can easily align the tracker and now I enjoy using it!

My first time using the MSM NOMAD was a little intimidating but I found it pretty easy to set-up. There are a few options that make it much easier to setup and use that I would highly recommend (iPhone attachment, micro alignment ball head, etc.).
Having recently ventured into astrophotography as a total newbie I decided to purchase the Nomad moveshootmove tracker.
I can only say that I am mighty impressed with it having used it a couple of times now. It is so easy and quick to set up on location and using the laser pointer is a doddle. My 1st few images have come out really sharp at 1min exposures.
I highly recommend this product.

I have tried 3 different wedges for my Seestar s50 pro and this one is by far the best! It is very well made and works flawlessly.
The NOMAD is a compact, lightweight and well-built star tracker. It's easy to transport and a great option for astrophotography while traveling.
However, the polar alignment could be improved. The illumination of the polar scope is quite weak, making accurate alignment in the dark more difficult than necessary.
Overall, a clever and portable solution with a few details that could be improved.
Very good wedges for the Seestar S50 Pro! Little wedge is able to handle the 6lb weight just fine from what I can tell from my sub exposures.
Purchased this as a backup incase I lose the original. Exact match.
I'm a beginner amateur photographer, and the Nomad has really made it easier for me to take much better photos of the sky. I definitely recommend it, even to beginners
Ich habe seit einigen Wochen das Benjamin Barakat’s Pro Kit plus & Upgrade Easy Alignment kit. Ich nutze es bei jeder Gelegenheit wenn das Wetter es erlaubt. Der Nomad Tracker erlaubte mir schon Aufnahmen von 3 Minuten mit meinem Sigma 12mm F1.4. Ich kann den Nomad MSM Tracker und sein Zubehör gerne zu 100% empfehlen.
