Beschreibung
Die MSM Wedge ist gemacht für präzise Polausrichtung – wie ein Kugelkopf, nur mit deutlich feineren Einstellmöglichkeiten. Vier Knöpfe + ein Griff erlauben multidirektionale Feineinstellungen, damit Tracker oder Kamera genau im gewünschten Winkel sitzen. Auf der Quick-Release-Platte oben ist eine Standard-1/4"-20-Schraube, um Zubehör direkt zu befestigen.

So geht’s:

Knopf A: Verriegelt/entriegelt die Quick-Release-Platte
Knopf B & Griff:
- Knopf B = Höhenanpassung
- Griff = verriegelt/entriegelt die Höhe. Einfach rausziehen, Richtung ändern, ohne dass der Verriegelungsstatus beeinflusst wird.
Knöpfe C & D: Feine Azimut-Korrekturen für präzises Links/Rechts-Positionieren
Knopf E: Werkschraube, nur für die Basismontage

Absolute Beginner

I have always wanted to have a go at astro- photography but the size, bulk and price of the equipment needed has always put me off. With the rapid development of new light weight but strong materials and electronics in recent times this has changed, hence the new MSM Nomad. At a very affordable price I finally bit the bullet and bought the Nomad starter kit, wedge and phone holder bracket. With the International shipping it arrived in two weeks and after reading the instructions and a little you tube browsing I had it set up and daylight polar aligned with the appropriate app within a very short period of time. Excellent!!. This proves that what you see and read is not just hype to try to get you to buy this equipment but the complete truth as an absolute beginner like myself who has never done this before can do it. All I have to do now is wait for some clear skies on a weekend when I am not working to get out to the countryside away from the city lights put my camera on it and give it a whirl. As I am a UK resident and it is approaching Autumn I might have to wait a while.

Quite impressed with this wedge compact but quite adequate of doing the job, works well with my SeeStar S50 it’s precise adjustments make it easy to get polar alignment. In all cannot fault it.

V1 wedge has play in the gears

I have the V1 wedge, light use and still in new condition - the tilt has developed play (fully tightened lever) in the gears making it unusable due to unreliable polar alignment. Shame, I liked its form factor.

The best comes in small packages

I never thot this little
Will be able to do long exposure for longer that 1 min but I was so wrong, I’m not an expert in trackers but this little guy is so easy to set up. I was able to figure out how to used correctly on my second try.
I’ll recommend it for starters and experience photographers due to the size, you can’t take it everywhere.
