Small, compact, easy to set up! Just waiting for a clear night!
Great portable tracker. I used it for the first time recently to photograph Comet C/2022. I was amazed how well it performed and suddenly realised I’d been missing out never using a tracker in my Astro work. It’s small, compact and VERY easy to set up using the laser pointer.
Perfeito, simples e prático de usar!
Simple et efficace !!!
Ha some difficulties to set it up, I guess I bought extra gear not needed. I still need to test the system before I am completely confident.
Fits into my camera bag with camera and lens. Great option for when you want to travel light but still be able to image the night sky.
I really do like the MSM-rotator, it is perfect for wide field photography. There are however a few small niggles. The battery life is very poor when it is properly cold outside. I get less than an hour of use. I have solved this by using a power bank. I also wish the polar wedge was of better quality. It has some slop in it which is not great. For the price however I’m pretty satisfied.
Prompt delivery and excellent customer services, additional Facebook group helped both set up and inspirational content from others of all abilities
Doesn’t have all the features of other trackers, but what it lacks it makes up easily in other ways. It’s incredibly light and small, and way cheaper than other trackers. It’s permanently in my travel camera bag!
How to setup
YES! The tracker is designed for wide-angle Astro-landscape use but we realize that many people are using it for deep space also. Therefore although we recommend you not exceed 135mm focal length for best tracking, longer focal lengths may be used if the effect of torque is considered.
In order to not exceed recommended torque and possibly damage the tracker, the maximum length of your lens must be 305mm (12 inches) or less.
1, Replaced the Knob with a Button to solve the deficiencies with the knob design.
2, 15% smaller than the Knob.
3, Added 1/2 speed star tracking mode, then you can take photos of the Milkyway with one shot.
4, Removed the less frequently used panorama mode.Easier to install with the new screws with stopper
5, An illuminator was added to the polar scope.
It has 2 modes!
Under the star tracker mode(by default), it can support all cameras.
Under the passive timelapse mode, it only works directly with Nikon, Canon, and Sony cameras through the hot-shoe port.
Under the passive timelapse mode, For non-Nikon, non-Canon, non-Sony cameras (Fujifilm, Panasonic, Olympus, Pentax, etc), you just connect the intervalometer.
"So I've always been interested in night sky photography, but finding the right gear was always a guessing game. Until I I saw an ad for the Move-Shoot-Move. With its relatively inexpensive price tag, I decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed at all. It is solidly constructed, and very easy to align and use in Star tracking mode. It arrived quickly, in time for a camping trip to a dark sky area. I was very impressed with the results. If you are in the market for a start tracker, you will not be disappointed with the Move-Shoot-Move.. Easy setup, user friendly, and most of all, it just works! I will be recommending it to all my friends who are interested in night sky photography. My dream of getting sharp, images of the Milky-Way have come true, and the Move-Shoot-Move made it possible. No complicated image stacking needed. Able to shoot long exposures at very low iso. I love this piece of gear, and you will too!"
