Awesome for many reasons, though a bit of a learning curve with set-up

The Z plate really makes working with the camera on the tracker easier and more straightforward... once one learns how to set it up. Perhaps I just don't have a mechnical mind, but it took some trial and error for me to settle on a set up. I think the Flex Tilt &Pan Z plate could have come with better instructions. There are several set-up videos available on YouTube by MSM ambassadors, but the quality of instruction varies and so does the version of the set up they have. So, for me it was confusing. That said, I never failed to get it set up and I never failed to get decent tracked shots. The entire set up and use is actually much easier than I anticipated. On the average, I normally get 3- and 4-minute tracked shots of the Milky Way which are way better than anything I got before from stacking. I'm very pleased with the quality and value of the MSM Tracker and the 360 Flex Tilt & Pan Head -Z&V Mount. Thank you!

First time- so easy

I am new to the field of Astro, I have the OM3 Astro and wanted a bit more out of it. A bit of research through recommended u-tubes and I was away. I am still working through some methods particularly when Polaris was hidden and the cloudy nights haven’t helped but my first go worked perfectly and I know I’m going to love using the MSM as I progress

Big Improvement

I used MoveShootMove for the first time in Big Bend this month and was thrilled with the result. I have it mounted on the MSM Wedge with the V Mount holding the MSM ball head and camera. I printed the phone holder and used PhotoPills to align, which was pretty easy after watching some of the available videos. I shot at 60 and 90 second exposures with no star trails the first night out. Results were excellent. I highly recommend the MSM products if you want to capture the Milky Way.

What a difference with Z & V mounts

I made a first try out on my Gitzo traveller tripod with both
Mounts in combination with the Nomad and need to say that it feels very sturdy and easy to change the angles.

V mount

The item was a great help as connecting the camera directly on the move shoot move was a bit of a pain when aligneing the camera to the pole with the v mount this helps a lot not had the clear Skys to try the move shoot out yet but it’s a must if anyone is thinking of buying it

C. Bours

My first tracker!

I am very new to astrophotography and after a lot of research I decided to get Nomad. I needed something light and efective to take on my travels and Nomad delivered. The was a learning curve in how to use laser and scope for allignment, but after a couple of times of practicing I got it. What i do like about it: it is easy to assemble and operate, you can put the tracker in your pocket and hike the mountains, it delivers stunning images without star trails ( i only braved 120s exposure). What I dont like: the size and weight of all the gear you need to cary ( geared head,ballhead,v-plate, scope, laser) to photograph, how cumbersome everything looks and feels when assembled, the way scope and laser connect to Nomad and you need to move v-plate for allignment, and then move it back.
Overall, I will buy it again.

360° Panning V-mount

I use several products sold by Move Shoot Move and love them all. My latest addition is the Lyn Wallace v-mount. It helps me keep the framing I want for my Milky Way shots. Great quality and light weight. Nice work Move Shoot Move. Keep it up. Love your stuff.

Great products for a newbie

I’m new to astrophotography so I appreciate the simplicity of the MSM tracker and the Flex Tilt and Pan Head. I got the laser pointer which works amazingly well in aligning to Polaris.

Just what I wanted

Needed something to use with the Seestar S50 now ZWO have released the equatorial mode update and this is just what I wanted. Easy to use and the adjustable handles means they never interfere with your equipment.
R.I.P. Alyn, you are sorely missed.

Capture stunning images of the Milky Way - NOMAD makes it easy!

I am seriously impressed - the NOMAD Star Tracker is an absolute GAME CHANGER for any budding astro photographer wanting to capture stunning images of the heavens.

This beautifully-engineered little gadget allows you to go beyond the 500 rule to shoot beautiful images of the Milky Way with no star trails. It's so easy to set up and use that anyone can use it - just make sure you also order the laser attachment or phone mount to help with polar alignment. I'd also recommend picking up a Z mount whilst you're at it to make your astro photography rig more weight balanced.

Customer service from Move Shoot Move has been superb too - delivery is super fast and they are very quick to answer any queries you might have. Buy in confidence no matter where in the world you are. I love my NOMAD and just wish I had discovered it earlier!

360° Flex Tilt & Pan Head Review

The 360° Flex Tilt & Pan Head is a very useful addition for my old Astrotrac TT320X star tracker, which is limited to 2 hours of tracking before it needs to be re-wound (and which impacts the framing if you need integration longer than 2 hours). With the Tilt & Pan Head attached to the star tracker, I can rotate my camera in right ascension to match the framing before the tracker was re-wound. Sure, you can also do this with a panning ball head, however, the Tilt & Pan head has a larger base and a much better calibrated panning dial. A great piece of kit.

An Excellent Tool for Astrophotography

I have had few opportunities to use my MSM Nomad due to the British weather seldom relenting and allowing a couple of hours of cloud free night sky. However on the few occasions it has been clear I have found the kit easy to setup and use. It is incredibly light and easily fits in the bag along with camera and lenses. It does an excellent job of tracking the deep space objects I am interested in photographing by taking multiple images and stacking the results.
I originally purchased the Nomad Starter Kit but have since added a tilt and pan V mount, the wedge and critically here, due to a moist atmosphere so lots of dew formation on the lens, the lens warmer band, all of which have been invaluable.
I should also mention the excellent and cheerful help provided by the Head of Customer Service Hanna Tsai to all my queries and requests.

Just the best

I've never liked ball heads and thought that maybe I could swap to one of these. I've not looked back and now can't live with out it. I use it for all photography and not just astro.

It's so flexible for my needs and when the right angle is achieved (even the most acute), the structure remains super rigid and firmly in place 😊

I do wish that the adjusting levers were a little larger, however, I think this feedback has already been listened to for the 5th generation and I can easily change them if they becomes too bothersome 🤩

Love it!

Expectations met and beyond.

I've been waiting for clear skies so I can try out my new MSM Nomad.
Last night there was about an hour window open between full sunset and incoming clouds and the moon rising. I managed to get a backyard Milky Way and a peek at Andromeda, our nearest galaxy neighbor, before the clouds and moonlight washed them away. The next night I tried Andromeda again this time for 3 1/2 minute exposures and with a 105 mm lens. I was delighted with the ease of locking up and pointed to Polaris with just the laser pointer. No stair trails and a great result.
