Great wedge for Seestar

Great quality at a reasonable price! I am using the wedge with my Seestar and it works great.

Great Craftsmanship

This is a great, smaller than expected, wedge for use with my ZWO Seestar S50 smart scope and Canon R camera. It’s well made using steel and aluminum materials and does support the 5.8 pounds of my telescope. My only real issue is the altitude locking handle is too wide at the end of the arm and hits the bottom of my smart scope and my camera. There are two remedies; 1. Replace the handle with a knob, 2. Loosen the screw and rotate the handle to lock before hitting the telescope or camera.
As others have noted its light weight and very packable for travel.

Wedge for precise polar alignment

Brilliant first star tracker

I've dabbled in astrophotography for a year now and the Nomad really brought my images to a whole new level. I'm positively impressed with the long exposure times I'm able to get even at around 200mm focal length (sony a6400 with Samyang 135mmf/2). And the ease of achieving good polar alignment with the laser pointer makes the tracker a joy to use for both deep sky and nightscapes. The fact that this small device was able to rival the Star Adventurer I compared it to for deep sky objects (albeit at the fairly forgiving focal length) and offer much grater portability and ease of operation is just amazing. I'll probably keep this as my main driver until I'm ready do dive into real telescopes and full on go-to equitorial mounts. Great purchase, highly recommended! Photographs attached all taken with the described setup and tracked with the Nomad.
Edit: just saw this is just for the wedge... 🤦 So yeah, the wedge is perfectly adequate. It's stable, light weight and small, making it very easy to travel with but capable of long exposures even at 200mm. I like it.

Great Product!

I'm using this as my equatorial mount with my Seestar S50. Once set up, it is really great. It took a little getting used to, understanding how to move it up and down (alt), left and right (az). I was surprised that its range in azimuth is pretty limited- maybe plus or minus 5 degrees, so you have to move the tripod to get it pointed within about 5 degrees of north. On the other hand, the azimuthal adjustment is very fine/precise. I'm really appreciating this device. Five stars if there was a gross adjustment in the azimuthal direction.

Great wedge

The MSM wedge is a game-changer for polar alignment. It’s solid, super easy to adjust, and way better than messing with a ball head. If you're into astrophotography and use the MSM tracker, this little wedge is a must-have.

Incredible portability, stunning performance.

After testing the Nomad with the wedge over the past few weeks, I have to say I've been very surprised by its performance despite its size. It's a very easy-to-use tracker that performs perfectly at medium and short focal lengths, but has allowed me to track for up to 30 seconds at 400mm with precise calibration.
The wedge helps to reach this precise polar alignment so I consider it now a "must" to have in my set up, otherwise using mid-long focal range won't be that easy.

Sturdy but light

I use this sturdy well made wedge to attach my Seestar 50 in equatorial mode.

Solid as a rock!

At 77 with arthritis in my hands, I particularly like the use of large, knurled adjustment knobs, and the clarity of the 'altitude' adjustment numbers. A special shout - out to Hanna in customer service, who tracked down my package when the US shipping company mis-routed it.

Adjustable Wedge

I Purchased the Move Shoot Move Adjustable Wedge to allow using my Seestar S50 in Equatorial mode. The wedge is very sturdy and easily adjustable. I was able to do Equatorial mode tracking on the first try and the fine adjustments on this wedge worked perfectly. I live at 34 degrees Latitude, so, the Seestar had to be tilted 56 away from vertical. It held the unit safely and stable even at this large tilt with no problems. The top of the wedge accepts a 1/4-20 thread, so, a 1/4-20 to 3/8" adapter was required to mate to the S50. I would recommend this wedge for any S50 user.
