The MSM Phone Mount takes away about 90% of the hassle of polar aligning my EQ mount and scope. Fine tuning the alignment is still required using software, but the MSM mount is a great starting point

Got the Phone mount, since I don't want to use the laser all the time in the night sky. Build quality looks good and I will test the mount in my vacation.

The phone mount for my Star Trecker GTi is great as I can use my phone to polar align during daylight, great invention. Only addition I'd recommend is two or three screw to attach to the view finder.

As a newcomer to astrophotography I found this item is "Simple and Efficient Polar Alignment Aid". Very satisfied!

The phone mount is good quality build and fits nicely on my explore scientific goto mount polar eyepiece. However, the only one screw to tighten the thing is bad. I bored and tapped two extra holes for additional thumb screws which should have been there in the first place. But, it works decent for daytime polar alignment!

A great addition to the MSM line-up. The Phone Mount for the Polar scope makes setting up the Tracker a lot easier on Skywatcher or similar equatorial mounts. Fitting over the eyepiece of the polar scope allows Polar Alignment with a smartphone in line with the actual polar alignment on the tracker. Recommended to see Dylan O'Donnell's "How to Polar Align with NO STARS" you tube video, excellent for those of us in the southern hemisphere, or anyone with a restricted view of the celestial pole.

The biggest disadvantage is the small ball head of the phoneholder. It basically allows the phone to point in any direction, so its a guestimating exercise if it it really in parallel to the nomad kr in which angle it is orientated. obvisouly a small error in angle gives you a bigg error in polar alignment, so im the end the nomad got useless even with a 50mm on a fullframe.

Addruinally, even if you decided in an angle, the ball head is too small to stac in place to hold your phone. it changes orientation.

this is a costly piece of crap. i really should have ordered the laser.

Purchased this to help with alignment as I don't always get a view of Polaris. So far I've only done a test fit as the clouds always roll in but fits perfectly to the tracker and has worked spot on for helping with alignment. I've used the phone mount and my phone for alignment so far and the laser for a few seconds when I could see Polaris to confirm the alignment.

I found the phone adapter tool helpful especially when shooting from a new location. From a bortle 3 mountain lake I was disoriented and didnt know where to find polaris. Slip this thing over your mount's eyepiece, then pop in your phone and use any of your favorite compass tools to quickly get pointed North. It cuts a few minutes off your initial placement when moving to a new spot. Nice job guys.

Performs exactly as promised

Absolute game changer! I have just had the best polar alignment in the Southern Hemisphere using the MSM phone mount adapter on th polar scope of my Sky Watcher Star Adventurer. No more hoping that it is right, no more broken back or knees. Pinpoint stars achieved at 90 second exposures.

After try out polar align and phone adapter on two different mounts. One is CGEM and the other is Ioptron skyguider pro. CGEM mount this adapter gets me very close to polar alignment which saves time on short summer nights. Ioptron skyguider pro this adapter is close enough for longer exposures for milky way pictures with my camera. I would recommend this for anyone looking to save time and backaches.. The MSM is a small and easily transported unit to provide star tracking in the field. It is light and easily set up. I use it with an iPhone 15 Pro Max for Milky Way photos. It has given me excellent results.

Have had the MSM phone holder for sometime and it is a great product only made better with the recently acquired Phone Mount Adapter to Polar Scope!

I am primarily a deep sky astrophotographer and was a user of the original MSM tracker. While that original tracker struggled with the size and weight of my rig (with a 200mm lens), the NOMAD easily handles my portable setup. This tracker is fantastic and the improvements over the original have made it my lightweight tracker of choice.
