A nice upgrade from the original MSM Rotator

I bought a used MSM Rotator off Marketplace a few weeks ago and quickly got frustrated as the camera and lens would fall or slide when it was slightly off to either side of center. The tracker worked great but I could not take a photo in portrait mode or let the camera get farther than the 11 or 1 o'clock position. I haven’t actually used this Nomad yet but I did mount it to the head, Z plate and camera with lens to the Nomad and I can tell it’s solid. The metal gears and metal ring collar should do the trick. I had no problems with the previous Rotators tracking ability. I’m sure the upgraded Nomad will track just as well. I can’t wait to get it out in a few weeks with no moon.

So Good I Bought a Second One

I recently purchased my second Move-Shoot-Move Nomad Star Tracker, and that alone says how much I trust this little device. It’s incredibly portable, quick to set up, and delivers excellent tracking for Milky Way and nightscape photography. For such a compact tracker, the performance is outstanding and it has become a must-have in my astrophotography kit. If you’re looking for a lightweight and reliable star tracker for travel or field work, this is an amazing option.
