Great service and timely delivery

Got the v and z mounts and found them helpful for camera placement, and ease of adjustment. A worthy addition to the MSM tracker/rotator. Recommend purchasing when you prepare your kit for AP.
The MSM NOMAD tracker with Polar Laser aligner was easier to set up than I thought and it worked perfectly the first time I used it. Can't wait for more clear dark skies to try it again.
Awesome light weight tracker for backpacking. Easily getting long exposure wide field shots of the Milky Way with the laser and photo attachment. Still working to finess polar alignment for 200mm focal length shots for andromeda. May consider getting the polar scope for better precision.
This is an extremely well made piece of equipment. all metal, very sturdy with easy adjustment. Originally I had improvised a holder to attach it to the Nomad which worked fine but now use the new scope adapter for the Nomad which makes the use of the bracket so much easier to attach to the tracker and still be able to use the polar scope AND the laser. When structures or trees negate line of sight I use the bracket with Photopills spot stars function and it is very accurate. I am a long time user of MSM equipment and I highly recommend any of their products for both beginners and advanced astrophotographers. Thank you for making great reasonably priced products.
I normally align using my laser but since acquiring the phone holder my go to has been the phone. It seems more accurate and easier to use in my area.
The phone mount securely holds the phone and is large enough to accommodate most. If you are using it in a parallel orientation to the vertical axis of the NOMAD tracker, it is great, but at higher latitudes, it can be cumbersome to view your screen. However, for apps that accommodate phones mounted such that the top of the phone points where the Polar Scope points for polar alignment checks (such as Polar Scope Align Pro), the phone holder ball joint does not have a hard stop. This makes leveling the phone much more difficult.
Excellent fit and quality
Had wonderful customer service from Hanna. I upgraded from the original rotator to the Nomad, and thought my old phone mount, which looks the same online, would fit. It didn’t, but Hanna had a couple of options for me, and I went with her cheapest recommendation with a discount and purchased a new phone mount. It arrived promptly, and I was off the next day to try night sky photography. It was much easier to use than the original, and the phone mount / photopills polar alignment worked well out to 3 minutes, as far as I bothered to try. So pleased with my purchase, still heaps to learn, but I’m loving it. Such fun.
