Actually good

The rotator is small, sturdy, easy - exactly what I needed.
I was already able to make a tracked test-photo in my backyard with my MFT 12 mm (alias 24mm FF) on top of the MSM Rotator.
Although not a lens with the widest field of view -surprisingly- I was able to capture pin-sharp stars at 4(!) mins exposure time.
Well, I assume this was a luckily precise Polaris alignment and wouldn't take it as a standard but I'm confident to get 2+ mins exposures reliably in future.
Now, let's hope for clear skys!

Star tracker

I found the MSM star tracker easy to use after visiting you tube. The laser pointer works very well. Very happy with the purchase so far. I did find the instructions that came with the MSM hard to read because the print was so small. Even with glasses on it was impossible to read.

MSM is awesome

I started shooting galaxy photos about a year ago. To improve the quality I read you can track it. MSM makes this possible for an outstanding value! You can also use it for time lapse, BONUS! I highly recommend MSM!

I can’t believe I took that photo

This is an amazing tool for those of us who want milky at shots without all the big equipment. I run a Sony RX10IV, only a one inch sensor. . . Yet I was able to get some amazing shots of the milky and the occasional galaxy with 2 minute exposure at 800iso F2.4. Great products. Just be aware, I tried to use it in Alaska in 4 degree weather, it was too cold for the gears to work. The laser is a life saver. Happy hunting.

Almost perfect

Firstly the MSM unit is brilliant. I have no complaints on the unit itself. The laser will need calibrating but then it works great. The one thing that lets it down for me is the Wedge which I paid a fair bit extra for but is pretty useless I’m sorry to say. It’s generally loose on all axis, and sags quite badly once it’s aligned, to the point it’s unusable. I just use my ballhead now which is a bit fiddly to align and less accurate but at least it stays put. Other than that the MSM unit is excellent and I highly recommend it. I’m able to get 5 minute exposures with a full frame body and wide angle lens, and up to 2 minute exposures with a 70-200 GM II. With more accurate aligning I’m sure I could get much longer on both. So I’m very happy with the MSM unit.

I love it!

It is amazing how such a small device can give such great results. It sets up easily in just a few minutes, and if you use focal lengths less than 35mm, you don't even need to fine the polar alignment, it's possible to take perfect 2 minute pictures. I haven't tried shooting with longer focal lengths yet, but so far, I'm delighted with the results. I recommend MSM Rotator to everyone!

Move shoot Move

I am using it in Singapore. The North Star is just above the horizon. I use the mobile phone attachment and an appropriate app to align with the North Star. It has been working well. Equipment is small and light and easy to carry. Able to handle my camera and lens with out issue. The Z plate is also well used. Thank you. Will try MSM for time lapse next. Thank you.
