I've used three star trackers for widefield astrophotography over the past few years and this has - by far - been the most enjoyable to use. Simple, lightweight and quick to set up and get going. And it did the job straight out of the box the first time I used it. I can't wait for the true dark nights to come back so I can use it more.

Even if small and light, the NOMAD is quite powerfull. We did some tests using our Nikon Z6II with a couple of lenses. The polar alligment is a bit tricky but if one just uses short focal lenght the tracking is accurate enough for stunning fotos. The internal usb-c rechargable battery is a plus. Definetely a device to consider for travel. I would buy it again.

This is a great device for anyone wanting to photograph the night sky! Incredibly capable of allowing long exposure photographs from anywhere! Portable and light, it is the perfect item for your field kit. Its use is extremely easy to learn and my long exposure wide lens stars are pinpoint. I’ve not used longer lenses/telescopes, but with the polar scope attachment I would imagine the alignment would remain easy and exact with the layered approach. It would seem the ideal rotator for your travel kit😃

Very happy with the set up and use of the nomad. Bought the version with the laser and set up is a breeze!
