ウェッジ、レベリングベース、スマートフォンを使った極軸合わせ

簡単で効果的な極軸合わせには、次の2つが必要です：

緯度アプリ：現在地の正しい緯度を確認するためのアプリを使います。これによりトラッカーの位置決めが正確になります。
コンパス：NOMADトラッカーを真北（北半球の場合）または真南（南半球の場合）に向けるためにコンパスが必要です。

極軸合わせの方法は？

レベリングベースの設置：レベリングベースを三脚に取り付け、ベースが水平になるように調整します。完全に締め付けないでください。後で調整が必要になる場合があります。
ウェッジの取り付け：ウェッジの底部に3/8から1/4のネジアダプターをねじ込みます。次にウェッジをレベリングベースに取り付け、レベルを再確認して正確さを確かめます。
真北または真南に合わせる：スマートフォンをウェッジの上に置き、コンパスアプリを開きます。コンパスの指示に従い、ウェッジを真北（北半球の場合）または真南（南半球の場合）に合わせます。位置が合ったら、レベリングベースを締めて固定します。
NOMADの取り付け：NOMADトラッカーをウェッジに取り付けます。
緯度の設定：スマートフォンで緯度アプリを開き、NOMADの上にスマートフォンを置いて、トラッカーの端とスマートフォンの端を合わせます。
緯度に合わせてウェッジを調整する：アプリで現在地の緯度を確認し、ウェッジをその緯度に合うまで傾けます。例えば、ベンジャミンが動画で示しているように、緯度が北緯47°の場合は、アプリに北緯47°と表示されるまでウェッジを傾けてください。
ウェッジを固定する：ウェッジのハンドルとパンニング用のネジを内側に回して締め、セットアップをしっかり固定します。

このキットの精度はどのくらいですか？

ベンジャミン：この方法をここ数年使っていますが、私にはとても効果的でした。135mmまでのレンズで1〜2分の撮影も問題なく行えています。

もし極軸合わせで問題が発生した場合、スマホケースが磁場に影響を与えている可能性があります。スマホケースを外すことをおすすめします。

レベリングベース

このユニバーサルレベリングベースは、どの方向にも±15°のチルトが可能です。半球形のデザインにより動きをコントロールしやすく、使いやすさを実現しています。360°パンニングベースを備え、滑らかで正確なパンニングに効果的なツールです。

ウェッジ

ウェッジは極軸合わせの微調整ツールです。パンニングとチルトの両方で小さく正確な動きを可能にします。通常はセットアップの下部に設置して上部の機器を支えますが、微調整に特化しているためパンニング範囲は限られています。

Vマウント

故アリン・ウォレス氏（ご冥福をお祈りします）と共同設計したこのユニバーサルマウントは、360°のパンニングとチルト機能を備えています。多用途に使えるVマウントは、このキットでカメラをNOMADシステムにしっかりと取り付けるために使用されています。

Great bit of kit to add to my capabilities

Kit devices integrate well with my ancient Manfrotto tripod and gimbals. Proof of concept successful, night sky trip planned for this city dweller. If I had any complaints it would be the style of the tightening levers on the V and Z brackets, while perfectly functional, they sometimes manage to get in the way. I see short ones are available, and are on my list of upgrades. Even with that one little issue, this setup is still the most clever and practical bit of design and engineering I’ve seen.

MSM Rotator

I ordered tracker, laser, self levelling plate, wedge, V plate & Z plate. Ordered on black Fri deals along with an extea ambassador code discount. Discussed a few things to make sure no extra taxes/shipping cost to UK. Customer Services were very helpful as I was a bit unsure etc. Package arrived quicker than predicted. Early use a few times only tracked & stacked Orion with longer exposure & lower ISO with great results.

I absolutely love this.

C’est un super petit accessoire pour les photos nocturnes, j’ai réussi à faire des clichés de NGC 7000 M31 avec un ciel moyen des résultats sont assez stupéfiants avec un objectif de 105 mm en plein format. J’arrive à des pauses de 90 secondes. Sans problème, j’ai essayé un plus gros objectif, le sigma, 150-600mm là c’est plus dur. J’arrive a des pauses de 20 secondes mais à f6,3 ce un peut limite ! Mais sinon, pour un setup léger, c’est parfait

Precise, Easy and Affordable

The first time I used this star tracker it was a wonderful experience with move shoot move nomad.
Easy to set up with Benjamin Barakat's Pro Kit plus & Upgrade Easy Alignment kit. The leveling base and wedge are well made and convenient.
Easy to connect to the polaris thanks to the polar scope and illuminator.
The driving was extremely accurate and I got perfect shots of M31 at 450mm for 2 minutes without any problems.
Some things can be improved, and some extra accessories can make it much easier to use, but this tracker is easy, precise and surely light so you can carry it in yuor trekking.

Although it’s been only a few weeks since I started using this kit, I’m surprised how easy it is to use the equipment. And it’s super lightweight. I’d highly recommend this kit for both beginners and professionals alike.

El kit de alineacion polar con el puntero laser es muy comodo de utilizar.
Por fin he conseguido fotografiar la Via Lactea con muy buen detalle y sin rastros de estrellas.
He disparado series de 5 y 10 fotografias con 3 minutos de exposicion y tras el apilado correspondiente he obtenido un extraordinario detalle de sus nebulosas.
Estoy muy satisfecho. Ahora voy a por la nebulosa de Orion, la galaxia de Andromeda y muchos objetos mas.

Simple, accurate--just what I wanted

I've been interested in astrophotography for some time, but didn't want to invest in a full sized tracker and all the "stuff" that goes with it. Enter the MSM Nomad! Does exactly what I wanted it to do - track with the earth's rotation. No bells and whistles, just a solid product that performs well. Easy to calibrate with the phone mount as long as you calibrate your phone's compass (doing the figure-eight in the air a couple of times. I missed that the kit comes with the phone mount, so I ended up with two, but it's good to have a spare. Overall great value and product that does what it says.

I am impressed by the build quality and how light weight it is. Although I still have to use it in proper (no clear nights where i was available) I have set it up so I know what I am doing.
Will comment further once used on a nice dark night.
