Nice little accessory that lights the reticle long enough to aim properly, and 'recharges' quickly. Stays in place, too.
The polar wedge makes alignment so much easier than before. This is a great addition to my kit.
I have alot of experience with astronomy mounts. I have multiple mounts for multiple payloads and the NOMAD is my favorite. Extremely portable and the battery life is just enough for a full night of imaging. I do recommend this product for a lightweight easy to setup star tracker.
Now my main issue which isn't a big deal... I'm used to polar alignment with a polar scope and I can do it fairly easily and quickly. The laser polar alignment is good enough but I don't mind wasting the extra brief minutes to do a proper polar alignment with the scope. The laser screws on to the body of the tracker ensuring a good fit a alignment to the body, however, and this is where my main problem lies, the polar tracker is attached using a small adapter, the polar scope is then fit inside this adapter and secured using a plastic screw which as it's tightened moves the scope inside the adapter. A proper polar scope should be fixed and as perpendicular as possible to the axis of rotation, this is no way to ensure a proper perpendicularity of the scope to the body of the tracker. To fix this issue I recommend changing the polar scope and it's mounting adapter so that the scope screws into this adapter, this way there is no need for a plastic screw that moves the polar scope sideways as it tightens.
Despite this the laser does a good job for a good enough alignment and I have this in my bag at all times. Excellent product despite there being room for improvement.
Easy and portable. Gives me another option for astrophotography when I don't feel like getting the heavy equipment out. I love it!

I could not get over how easy (after watching a few fine videos), it was to set up. though I have much to learn about astrophotography, the NOMAD will be my entry point into a world that is "out of this world".
I had a really positive experience with my first purchase from Move-Shoot-Move. The NOMAD Astro Tracker arrived quickly. The components are robust and of good quality, and it was very easy to set up. I tried it out right away and achieved great results!

I just got the Nomad with the smartphone polar alignment kit and I love it. This is a nice, portable, and easy to set up kit for getting quality astrophotos. I was able to get some good beginner photos of Andromeda, and look forward to refining my skills. Nomad makes it easier to get good deep sky pictures.
This is an excellent product with all the available accessories. I can use it with my camera and I even mounted a small 60mm refractor to provide tracking. I highly recommend the NOMAD system, accessories and MSM. Thank you for a great fun system for photographers and astronomers.
I like this wedge. Easy to set up, and works great with my S50. I also like the ability to spin it to calibrate the compass on the scope. Recomended
I upgraded to the Nomad from my original MSM tracker because my current camera was heavier than the previous one. I was in Scotland during a bad weather period with gale force winds and I suddenly got a half-hour window of opportunity to shoot the Milkyway. I literally ran outside with my tripod, assembled the Nomad, got a very quick and rough laser alignment on the Pole star and then it disappeared behind a cloud. I pointed my camera at the target and set the Nomad working. I took ten shots and just one 15-second exposure was clear of clouds. It was perfect. Pin sharp stars and a good composition. I was delighted. Then we were hit by 70mph winds. The MSM Nomad system is quick, light and very easy to use. The speed that I could assemble it was the difference between getting the shot and failing. It tracked perfectly. I cannot wait now to be in a position to take my time in good conditions. If I can get the image I did in 15 seconds I cannot imaging how good it will be with a longer exposure. I cannot recommend this product system highly enough. I am not getting paid to say this, I genuinely am very impressed with it. I do a lot of astrophotography and this super-mobile unit is ideal for Milkyway shots. 5-stars from me.
All received in a safe manner, installation is easy to understand and to do. Huge problem is the adjustment of the scope (I do not use it anymore) and the laser pointer. I tried to adjust by srewing the laser around within Nomad device, but difficult. Maybe it makes sense to preadjust it by the seller?

You own a Nomad Tracker? Or a smartscope like the Dwarf II/III or S30? And you want to track in EQ Mode - than this wedge is a no-brainer!! Go for it! It’s precise, stable enough, affordable - and I should not forget to mentioned that it’s SwissArca clamp is very convenient for such use-cases!

I purchased the laser kit along with phone holder kit to help me learn Polar alignment. Unfortunately everytime I've gone to use it, clouds have crept in but it's very visible in the sky when in use so will definitely make alignment easier and faster along with the phone holder to help with initial alignment

I recently purchased the MoveShootMove system and I am very pleased with the quality and value so far. The build feels solid and well designed, and the price point is excellent for what you get. Setup was straightforward and the controls are intuitive, even on the first run-through. I have not taken it out for a full night session yet, but I am confident it will perform well based on the engineering and user experience out of the box. I am looking forward to putting it to work soon.
MSM aftersales service is great. I received a wrong sized filter ring and emailed them about it. They responded fast and then shipped me the correct product. On the other hand, the star focus filter is an awesome product to be had for nailing down that perfectly focused Milky Way shot.
As i commented the Nomad's light weight and compact size in my initial review, i have taken it with me on my trip to Australia. I have used my Fujifilm X-H2 + XF70-300mm on it and extended the lenses to the largest focal length (full-frame equivalent 450mm), it worked well at least with 20s exposure, just wanted to be safe, and I got most shots usable with fairly round stars. I got my first ever M42 photo! I trust it could certainly work at longer exposure time at this focal length but I didn't have a chance to test it before it got cloudy... Overall I'm really satisfied with this product. Great for travelers and beginners astro fans. But i still urge them to offer a case for carrying it along with all the necessary accessories, which is not easy to find from other places.
