Size and portability plus it is so easy to setup and start shooting.
I am so glad i ordered my Nomad star tracker it is so easy to set up and use and my first few outings with it i could not believe the difference in quality of the photos that i have been taking since i started using it and it will improve my hobby so much more that i am so glad i brought my Nomad i would recommend it to anyone who wants to improve their astrophotography.
I have been using the Zmount with the MSM very successfully with no issues except for the tightening levers which could have been a few millimeters shorter as they hit the MSM when tightening or loosening. I have had to readjust the screws so at the fixed position they are in line with the plate. I will probably wind up cutting down the lever length to be more functional but that will look quite ugly. Hence my 4 stars rather than 5. All the other features and capabilities of the Z plate are perfect.

What's great about the Nomad? It is easy to use, needing only minimal instructions and previous knowledge (for example it helps substantially to know how to find Polaris). Its price, making the Nomad accessible to a large pool of enthusiastic astrophotographers. Its size and weight, which makes it easy to carry to remote locations. I am completely satisfied by my Nomad.
Great lamp, perfect for night portraits, love the remote with the option of cooler light or warm.
The screws are very precisely manufactured and hold the fastenings / parts very well.
It turned out to be an extra layer of complexity when working in the dark on a night shoot. The tilt and pan head seemed to work well on its own but when combined with the tripod and a ball head it became a guessing game when trying to make adjustments. I will persist in my endeavours - maybe I will get used to it.
I used this viewfinder with the MSM or NOMAD polar scope. The problem is, that the viewfinder has no direct connection points or a guide rail or similar with the polar scope. You put the viefinder on the polar scope and mount it with the three screws. But you have no guarantee that you have mount it exactly. If the viewfinder is only a little bit inclined with the polar scope, Polaris will not be on the right place and so MSM or NOMAD is not in a exact position. I have had this several times so my photos got star trails. I don't use the viewfinder any more. It would be nice if MSM could develop a polar scope with a built in right angle viewfinder.
I got the Nomad rotator to replace the MSM rotator because my Sony A7RV + the heavy Sigma 14MM 1.8 lens was just too much weight for it, and it wobbled. No such problems with the Nomad, rock solid!
I recently took possession of a used MSM Rotator kit. It included the laser pointer and adapter to fasten it onto the rotator, and all worked fine. My only problem was that the laser used up batteries very quickly! So I ordered the newer model laser pointer with rechargeable battery from MSM and I have had it for a week or so. It works great! Fits in the same adapter, and the battery holds a charge well. I was disappointed, however, that it did not come with the red cap/adapter that comes with the laser in a Nomad kit, as I am expecting that one day I will likely upgrade to the Nomad with its sturdier locking system so that I can safely use a heavier lens. Now I will have to get n adapter/cap separately or order a kit with another laser, which I don’t need. Otherwise I am very happy with the new laser and the fact that I can recharge the battery for just pennies.
This is the second of the Alyn Wallace Z & V mount purchased, and have to report this product is just awesome! Having purchased “other brand" Z mounts and always finding they “never” had the design engineering to hold “tight”! This product is compact and with the ability to “fine tune” across all points just making your experience hassle free giving the perfect bit of “kit”! Buy one you will not regret it.

I picked up the polar scope as an add on to my Nomad tracker. VERY handy to get final precise alignment in combination with a phone app that tells me where to place polaris on the circle. My scope does not have the same "clock" numbers as the training video, so I'm hoping I'm orienting it correctly... we'll see on longer lens shots of galaxies.. But it is worth having to align perfectly.

I took this out for the first time in Yellowstone and it was so easy to set up and use. The only issue I had was with the new scope and laser holder. Since it attaches much closer to the tracker, I had to adjust my camera and Z plate so they did not obstruct the path of the laser. All in all, a great tracker!
So far so good, a power switch is a bit flimsy though and does not correspond with the device’s overall high-quality impression. Would be also great if there was a bolt hole in arca swiss plate to connect the device directly with v/z plates with no need for external arca swiss adapters adapters - it would eliminate the need for balkhead/wedge.
I ordered the NOMAD star tracker thinking it would be a nice diversion from my other photography. I'm new to night sky photography. I was pleasantly surprised to see how user friendly and quick it is to set up. Even more I'm EXTRIMELY PLEASED with the results I'm getting using the Nomad. This thing is FUN to use. Iv captured several Milky Way pano's leaving me with a grin from ear to ear...I did that...with a little help from Move-Shoot-Move Nomad that is. I have Zero regrets and recommend the Nomad highly. Ya...I'm hooked.

I bought the kit with all adapters. The filter is great and I have had no trouble using it on various thread sizes. It's great to only buy the one filter! I see a noticeable difference in my photos.
This laser kit fits my iOptron Skyguider pro perfectly. This will be a game changer for aligning with the north star. Previous. I would have to hold a laser with one hand while trying to adjust the option with the other hand. This resulted in many misses and frustration. This product, along with a Benro 3 way head will make alignment a snap.
