Il 14 giugno 2020, l'ambassador MSM Alyn Wallace ci ha detto di avere un'idea per una nuova piattaforma di monitoraggio delle stelle per risolvere i seguenti problemi:

Il problema:
- Quando alle latitudini vicino all'equatore diventa molto difficile usare la testa a sfera sopra uno star tracker.
-È anche difficile fare panorami, indipendentemente dalla latitudine.
La soluzione
Aggiungere una "piattaforma Star Tracker" in modo che la testa a sfera diventi livellata. L'angolo può essere regolato e bloccato in posizione e la piattaforma può anche essere ruotata. La piattaforma si abbina perfettamente al rotatore Move Shoot Move, ma funziona con qualsiasi star tracker..
Successivamente, abbiamo ricercato tutte le possibili soluzioni alternative, facendo pratica e utilizzandolo, finalmente si è arrivati alla prima versione come di seguito:
1 ° Versione, verificando principalmente il meccanismo per bloccare la piattaforma angolata e anche la base rotante.
2a versione, ingrandita la sezione di rotazione centrale.
3a versione,
- Avvolto il disco rotante per impedire l'ingresso di polvere.
- Vite modificata per una più facile gestione.
4a versione,
aggiunto più spazio per la maniglia inferiore, quindi possiamo operare con i guanti.
E infine, la quinta versione finale, con alcuni piccoli miglioramenti per avviare la produzione.

Funziona come una testa del treppiede
V o Z? Quale dovresti acquistare?
Le piattaforme V e Z risolvono entrambe il problema di avere la testa a sfera con un'angolazione scomoda quando si trova su uno star tracker. Allora qual è la differenza?
La piattaforma V è per chi vuole risparmiare peso. Se stai già utilizzando una configurazione pesante, potresti non avere molto spazio per aggiungere peso sopra l'MSM che ha un carico utile di 3 kg.
La piattaforma Z. ha l'ulteriore vantaggio di poter essere utilizzato per sostituire la testa a sfera su un treppiede quando non si utilizza affatto uno star tracker. È inoltre possibile utilizzare la piattaforma Z come treppiede da tavolo. Quindi è uno scambio di versatilità per un po 'di peso aggiunto.

Un startracker muy sencillo de usar, fácil de alinear con la polar en el terreno que incluso puedes hacer sin uso del laser pidiendo el accesorio para el teléfono móvil. He podido exponer sin trazas hasta 50mm en full frame sin problemas de trazas. El problema de cabeceo de cámara dependerá del peso de tu cámara recomiendo pesos de 1kg. Mayor peso considera comprar el nuevo Nomad. Ventajas del original... Timelapses.
I am happy with the 2 Z mounts I ordered. To me this is a great tool that I plan to use in the field to manage tracked panoramas.
I got 2 of these after watching Alyn Wallace's videos on them, they're epic, especially for lightweight trackers like the omegon lx mini clockwork trackers that I had, I used the v for the base, and the z to put a ball head on for doing panos..... Brilliant products, well made and robust, I recommend them to anyone
The Z bracket designed by Alyn Wallace is brilliant for Panoramic images while using a star tracker. I would also like to offer my condolences to Alyn Wallace’s family and friends.
I ordered the V-platform to give me more range and flexibility on my setup. I find directly atta hing can to my MsM can be limiting and mounting my camera onto the V-platform solves my problem.
The only thing I can add is that the base knob can be larger, so it'll be easier to turn. (like the one I had on my Z-platform)
Superb piece of equipment that takes the strain off the ball head. Locks firmly in place. Recommended.
Great piece of kit! just what I needed especially for Pano's
I purchased a Z bracket to use with a tracking mount. I really only needed a V bracket to do that, but I figured the extra functionality of the Z bracket may come in handy some time.
Great product, the hinges are well designed, however I found a small wobble can be induced when used with heavy gear.
To correct for this, I’ve added an adjustable support to the side which can be locked when the desired level is reached.
It’s a simple strap with a slot, and when locked off, creates a triangle and provides support to the upper plate, de-risking the potential for movement when doing long exposures.
Perhaps something to look into with the next version.

The v mount was not completely folded when fully folded and there was a slight gap.
A slight gap was disturbing the level, and this gap wanted to be improved...
I have filed a claim for this issue with msm.
However, so far no one involved has emailed me regarding this relationship.

Very well thought out piece. I use it to hang my camera from a drone and the tension performs flawlessly! Doesn't hurt that it's adds to the visual appeal
