Easy to use star tracker (Newest 2-in-1) - 2022 Milky Way Season is coming!
It makes the calibration easy
Z/V mount for low angle & astro, designed with Alyn Wallace, UK
Exactly what I need, a small, lightweight tracker which can be aligned to polaris in no time. Perfect for landscape astrophotography.
Well manufactured and engineered. One improvement suggestion is to make it Acra Swiss mountable in stead of a screw.
I've only had the chance to use the MSM tracker once but it was mostly for a motion Timelapse. It did great! Installed the MSM tracker onto my tripod then attached my ball head on it. Placed my camera and started my Timelapse. It was very easy to use and I'm looking forward to using it more as a motion Timelapse rotator. Maybe learn how to track the Milky Way one of these days.
All remarks from ambassadors and other users in my opinion are true.
1. Easy installation and polar alignment.
2. Easy to use.
2. Compact and light for transportation.
3. After 3 months use seems good and quality construction.
Also the Z/V plate is very useful even if you have a second ball head. It helps change the center of gravity and keeps more stable your gear on the field .
Very happy for my purchase for light landscape astrophotography. For my needs is what I want.
Its a good concept to use the iphone to polar align using photo pills spot stars AR on the star adventurer. I tried the phone clamp, but the clamp doesn't fully tighten on the star adventurer plastic battery compartment top since the top is partially curved. I feel like this clamp is going to break if I overtighten it. It keeps coming loose and my phone falls towards me as the mount points towards the sky since I can never fully tighten it enough.
Head Torches with red light for Astrophotography/Red LED Headlamp
The laser installation is a breeze, and speeds up time for me to get close alignment without having to bend my neck all of the time and deal with keeping the finder scope in alignment all of the time. After initial alignment, I use the Polefinder instrument connected to my laptop to attain precise alignment for astrophotography.
